Outcome independence in a world obsessed with control

Is it possible? If so, how?

“Freedom is the only worthy goal in life. It is won by disregarding things that lie beyond our control.” - Epictetus

In this short voice episode, I ask; how are you experiencing the tension between something like the need to be outcome independent (at least to some large degree, given both the nature of the universe and the ways in which being attached to uncertain outcomes seems to effect our wellbeing) and the various impositions of our world where control is both demanded and expected?

This is something I have a lot of first hand experience of in different ways. And it’s still very much an active process for me.

So, once you’ve tuned in, I am all ears friends. All ears.

Over to you.

With love as always.

From a recent ritual with my daughter. One of many ways we’re trying, together, to connect with the cycles and patterns of impermanence, while consciously evolving ourselves in the process.
